Pianist Mark Coughlan always rises to the challenge of choosing a piece of classical music to suit Lit Live's theme of the night. On August 24, one of Chopin's many marvelous preludes joined a collection of magical short stories. Actors

Jo Morris and Thomas Papathanassiou joined host Sarah McNeill to read stories that blurred the boundaries between realism and magic realism. They included a classic Neil Gaiman and a brand new one by Perth writer Jen Rewell, winner of the national Furphy Literary Award 2023.
